We are glad to announce the SMPA / BioValley Clinical Research Day.

The Clinical Research Day will be held in Basel on Friday, October 26th 2007. The meeting will focus on Clinical Biotechnology. After a first successful partnership in 2005, we again integrate our GA into the Biovalley Life Sciences Week structure in the form of a BioValley Clinical Research Day entitled Biotech in the BioValley on-site.

We will visit 3 rapidly growing biotech companies in the Basel area on-site.

Visit includes Buffet Lunch and SMPA Panel Discussion “Physician-Scientists – where to go?”, with Prof. Dr. h.c. F. Bühler, W. Fischli, PhD, Prof. M. Heim, Prof. P. Meier-Abt, D. Winkler, MD, PhD.

16.15 Visit Santhera Pharmaceuticals (Switzerland) Ltd., Liestal

Host: Dr. Cesare Mondadori, Head Research

18.00 Arrival Basel city center by bus

We appreciate and are grateful for the openness and hospitality of the 3 companies inviting us.

To allow a most personal interaction during the visits, the number of participants is limited to 35 persons.
There is no participation fee.

Bus departure information: Our bus will leave at 9.45 from the Pharmazentrum of the Basel University. The Pharmazentrum is located next to the Biozentrum at the Klingelbergstrasse 50/70. It can be easily reached from the SBB train station by Bus Nr 30. Detailed information on how to reach the Pharmazentrum when arriving by train to Basel you may find at the webpage of the Pharmazentrum .
The bus will stay with us for the whole day and stop at the SBB railway station at about 18.00 before heading back to the Pharmazentrum.
