Online Journals

Concerning the discussion about the nationwide access to online-journals I propose to start with a facility already in place: the Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries.

The goal would be to have access to all the online-journals the ETH-ZH provides (see [1]) from all Swiss universities.

The most promising contact seems to be the Arbeitskreis Neue Medien.

More generally, I think the Open Content movement, which is catching on also in science, should be as widely recognised as possible, especially among people like us.

In science the most important initiatives are now the Open Archives Initiative and the Public Library of Science.
