European MD/PhD retreat 2014

Fri, 11 July 2014 14:00 - Sun, 13 July 2014

Please find here the link for the meeting: European MD/PhD retreat 2014

Dear Colleagues,
Dear Friends,

It is a great honor and particular pleasure for the MD/PhD students of Switzerland to host the third European MD/PhD Meeting. In the name of the MD/PhD Student’s Association and the Swiss Medical Academy of Science that holds the patronage of the current event, we cordially invite you to join us for this unforgettable scientific retreat.
The meeting will focus on major topics both in basic science and clinical medicine, with an emphasis on the key role of the MD/PhDs in translational medicine and bridging bench to clinics. Coaching sessions on career planning and a lecture on social health policies will complete the schedule.
The program includes state-of-the-art plenary lectures held by distinct pioneers in each field as well as selected student presentations from the submitted abstracts, where you will have the possibility to present your own research either in oral or poster form. A special "Falling Walls Lab" session will provide the stage to innovative and inspiring students to present their research and/or scientific concepts out of the box.
The meeting will take place at the picturesque Seehotel Waldstätterhof in Brunnen; a resort town at the Lake of Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee), located in the German speaking part of Switzerland.
We aim to offer a stimulating, educative and inspiring program that does not only put science in the center of our attention but serves the need to bring closer the MD/PhDs participants all across Europe.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Brunnen!

With our best regards,
The Organising Committee
